Michael started Mertz Engineering Inc. (MEI) in 2020 with the goal of servicing the insurance and restorations industries with adaptive and responsive Forensic Engineering solutions that met the specific needs and challenges of a fast paced industry.
Michael is a structural engineer with approximately 6 years of experience in various fields. Michael graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in in Civil Engineering from Purdue University in West Lafayette, USA with a specialty in Construction.
Michael has been involved in Forensic Engineering since 2017, primarily on projects related to residential and commercial building losses.
Experience:
Forensic Investigation and analysis of structures damaged as a result of Fire, Water, Wind, Vibration, Explosion, and Vehicle Impacts.
Structural and remedial repair design in concrete, steel, wood and masonry building elements
Project management, coordination and contract administration.
